01 / The introduction

What is Renuva?

Renuva is an injectable adipose allograft matrix made from processed, donated human fat tissue. It provides a framework that supports tissue repopulation in areas where fat naturally exists.

As the matrix remodels, your own fat can take its place. The goal is to restore small areas of lost volume and improve contour with a result that develops over time.

Unlike fat transfer, Renuva does not require liposuction to collect fat from another part of your body. A qualified provider determines whether it fits your anatomy and goals.

02 / The possibilities

Subtle changes.
Thoughtful benefits.

01

Restore lost volume

May replenish small volume deficits in appropriate areas of the face, hands, or body where native fat exists.

02

Refine your contours

May soften selected depressions and contour irregularities. Suitability depends on the cause, location, and amount of correction needed.

03

Skip fat harvesting

An in-office alternative for selected small-volume corrections, without a separate liposuction procedure to obtain your own fat.

Potential benefits vary. Renuva should not be injected into lips, muscle, or breast tissue.

03 / Your treatment journey

What to expect.

Before treatment

Discuss your goals, medical history, allergies, medications, and previous procedures. Your provider assesses candidacy and gives preparation instructions. Do not stop prescribed medication without your prescriber’s advice.

At your visit

The area is assessed and cleansed, and a numbing plan is discussed. Renuva is injected beneath the skin in the appropriate fat layer. Timing and comfort measures depend on your treatment plan.

The first days

Temporary swelling, bruising, redness, and tenderness may occur. Recovery varies. Follow your provider’s aftercare instructions; the manufacturer recommends avoiding vigorous exercise for 24 hours.

The months ahead

Expect gradual change as tissue remodels, commonly over 3–6 months. Early fullness may include swelling and does not represent the final result. Follow-up helps determine whether additional treatment is appropriate.

04 / Good questions

A little more clarity.

Is Renuva the same as a dermal filler?

No. Renuva is a donated human tissue matrix that supports remodeling in the fat layer. Hyaluronic acid fillers use a different material and mechanism. Your provider can compare the options for your goals.

How long do results last?

The matrix is gradually replaced by your own tissue. Results may be lasting, but duration varies with individual biology, aging, and weight changes. A specific lifespan or permanent correction cannot be promised.

How many treatments will I need, and what does it cost?

The amount of product, treatment area, and your response determine your plan. More than one session may be recommended. Ask Best Aesthetics for an individualized quote and follow-up schedule.

What are the risks and who should avoid treatment?

Risks include injection-site reactions, infection, and an unsatisfactory or uneven result. Human tissue allografts carry a potential risk of disease transmission despite donor screening and processing. Manufacturer labeling contraindicates use in people with significant allergies manifested by anaphylaxis or severe allergen sensitivity. Review your complete medical history and all risks with your provider.

When should I contact my provider after treatment?

Contact your provider promptly for increasing pain, worsening redness or warmth, fever, drainage, or unexpected changes. Sudden vision changes, severe pain, unusual skin discoloration, or trouble breathing require urgent medical evaluation.
